Law360: Say Yes To Accommodations, DOL Official Tells Contractors

O’Melveny labor and employment counsel Karen Gillen moderated a discussion on equity initiatives within the US Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs as part of New York University School of Law’s recent virtual labor and employment conference. OFCCP director Craig Leen advised companies that do business with the federal government to find ways to grant employees’ requests for disability and religious accommodations in nearly all circumstances, Law360 reported. “Generally, if you’re a federal contractor, you need to be granting almost every accommodation request,” Leen stated at the event.
