Law360: Travis Scott Hires O’Melveny Litigator For Astroworld Defense

Travis Scott has hired O’Melveny Trial Practice Chair Daniel Petrocelli to serve as his lead counsel against allegations following a “crowd surge” at his Astroworld concert that left 10 people dead and hundreds injured.  The rapper faces nearly 250 lawsuits alleging that he incited violence in a crowd of 50,000 concertgoers, with many of the suits seeking more than US$1 million in damages. Petrocelli is a veteran entertainment and media litigator who has represented a number of high-profile clients including Twentieth Century Fox and musicians Kesha and Ariana Grande.
