O’Melveny partners John Rapisardi and Joe Zujkowski co-authored their latest column for New York Law Journal in which they discuss Brazilian Law 14.112, a new law that “enacts a number of reforms to Brazil’s bankruptcy laws that attempt to expand and clarify creditors’ rights and modernize Brazil’s bankruptcy framework.” Associate Gabriel Olivera assisted in the article’s drafting.
“Given Brazil’s importance in the global economy and the increasingly cross-border nature of corporate restructurings, the recent reforms close a significant gap in Brazil’s Bankruptcy Law,” the authors wrote.
