Law.com: Lawyers Energized for Election Work

October 21, 2020

O’Melveny partner Steve Brody and counsel Jason Zarrow are mentioned in this Law.com article for their pro bono efforts to ensure voter protections during the 2020 election.

The publication reported more than 1,000 lawyers, paralegals and law students are volunteering at polling sites ahead of the election. “Lawyers from O’Melveny are engaged in similar volunteer efforts, while also going to court to protect voter rights,” Law.com noted.

Brody and Zarrow were part of separate O’Melveny pro bono teams that helped secure court rulings concerning the ability to vote by mail and absentee ballot in Alabama and Wisconsin. “We’re encouraged by Judge Conley’s ruling vindicating the right to vote,” Zarrow said of the win in Wisconsin. “But there is more work yet to be done, and we look forward to working with co-counsel and our local partners in making sure this critical right is protected.”
