Meaghan VerGow Discusses Hurdles for Stock-Drop Plaintiffs in Pensions and Investments

July 10, 2016

O’Melveny partner Meaghan VerGow was quoted in an article in the July 10, 2016 issue of Pensions and Investments. The article, “2 Years Later, Stock-Drop Plaintiffs Still Face Tough Road,” explores the effect of guidelines in a landmark Supreme Court ruling on stock-drop cases on plaintiffs, which have surprised those who expected a deluge of lower court decisions against plan sponsors and new lawsuits. “From a plan sponsor perspective, I think this is a happy anniversary despite the initial concern,” VerGow told the publication, although she added that she expects to see “more complaints articulating insider information.”

Based in Washington, DC, VerGow is a litigator who assists clients with complex commercial litigation and class actions at the trial and appellate levels.
