September 23, 2020

O’Melveny, alongside Protect Democracy, the MacArthur Justice Center, and Stafford Rosenbaum LLP, helped secure a federal court order that will ensure Wisconsin voters have safe and equitable access to cast their ballots during the November election, the Milwaukee Independent reported. The Milwaukee Independent reported the court order will extend the deadline for receipt of absentee ballots until November 9 for all ballots postmarked on or before November 3. The deadline for online and mail-in registration will be extended by one week, to October 21.  In addition, Wisconsinites will be allowed to serve as poll workers outside of their counties of residence.
