MLex Market Insight: Samsung, Micron, Hynix See Off US Memory Chip Price-fixing Lawsuit
November 24, 2020
O’Melveny Antitrust practice co-chair Ian Simmons, counsel Stephen McIntyre, and associates Brian Quinn and Kurt Brown represented Samsung in partially defeating a proposed antitrust class action, which accused the company of fixing its prices on DRAM memory chips in the United States.
Federal Judge Jeffrey White concluded the plaintiffs failed to demonstrate a conspiracy among Samsung, Micron, and Hynix, under US antitrust law, and dismissed the claim, MLex reported. Claims are still outstanding in California, Hawaii, Kansas, Michigan, and New Hampshire.
