Multiple Media Outlets Report on O’Melveny’s Representation of Dreamworks Animation SKG in Acquisition of Classic Media

O’Melveny & Myers LLP represented DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc., in connection with the acquisition of Classic Media, a US-based production company, animation studio, and distributor of family programming and made-for-television films, for US$155 million in cash. Reports of the deal were featured in numerous media outlets including The Hollywood Reporter, Daily Journal, The Deal Pipeline, San Francisco Business Times, Law360, Daily Markets, Deadline New York, M&A Navigator, and Takes on Tech.

Classic Media’s library contains over 450 titles and more than 6,100 episodes of live-action and animated programing, including such titles as Casper the Friendly Ghost, Where’s Waldo?, Lassie, The Lone Ranger, George of the Jungle, and Rocky & Bullwinkle
