Multiple Outlets Note O’Melveny’s Representation of Warner Bros. in Joint Venture with CMC

October 01, 2015 O’Melveny & Myers’ representation of Warner Bros. in its joint venture with private equity firm China Media Capital to launch a new movie studio received coverage in multiple publications, including Legal Business, Asian Legal Business, Law360, and Daily Journal, among others.  The new entity, known as Flagship Entertainment Group Ltd., will produce Chinese-language films. “With this joint venture, the companies are hoping to capitalize on the surging demand for Chinese-language content as they expect China's total box office take will surpass US$10 billion annually in the next four years,” the September 21, 2015, Law360 article said.

The coverage credits a multi-office and multi-practice O’Melveny team for advising Warner Bros., which included partners Stephen Scharf, Walker Wallace, Matthew Erramouspe, Luc Moritz, Nate Bush, Eric Zabinski, and Sean Monroe; counsel Jing Cao and Stewart Wang; and associates Aaron Xin and Kia Kuretski.
