Law360: O’Melveny Adds Former Deputy SG To Supreme Court Practice

December 03, 2019

O’Melveny has added former deputy solicitor general Michael Dreeben to its appellate and white collar practices, this Law360 article reported.

“Dreeben worked at the DOJ for three decades, reaching the rank of deputy solicitor general. In that role, he was in charge of the department's criminal docket at the Supreme Court and became one of the most frequent advocates there, logging a total of 105 arguments,” the article stated. “His presence in the nation's most powerful courtroom was conspicuously absent in the 2018 term, as he took leave from the solicitor general's office to aid special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, which formally concluded in May.”
