O’Melveny associate Ephraim McDowell was quoted in this article discussing his major pro bono victory for members of a religious group who provided humanitarian aid to migrants in the desert along the US-Mexico border.
“I thought they had a viable legal theory to reverse the lower court’s convictions,” McDowell told the publication in an interview. He also said that opportunities to take on such cases were one of the reasons he decided to join O’Melveny. “The firm leadership is very encouraging of young attorneys, giving them the opportunity to take lead roles, especially in high-profile pro bono cases,” McDowell said.
