O’Melveny Included on The National Law Journal’s 2013 Appellate Hot List

June 03, 2013 On June 3, 2013, O’Melveny & Myers was named to this year’s Appellate Hot List by The National Law Journal. The list includes 20 firms, chosen based on significant appellate wins in the past year, as well as successful track records. The article cites O’Melveny’s success in several appellate cases, including favorable rulings for US Airways, and in ERISA class actions. O’Melveny partner Jonathan Hacker, who heads the Firm’s Appellate Practice, was highlighted for his success in the US Supreme Court case Kiobel v. Royal Dutch Petroleum Co., and was quoted regarding the adoption of his argument in the Court’s ruling. “I wouldn't claim personal credit for it…but we were definitely a part of the momentum addressing the extraterritorial issue," he said in the article. The article also recognized O’Melveny partner Walter Dellinger and counsel Anton Metlitsky for their noteworthy involvement in numerous appellate cases this past year.
