O’Melveny Lawyers Author Financial Times Piece on China’s Draft Cyber LawNovember 24, 2015 O'Melveny & Myers partners Ronald Cheng and Bingna Guo and associate Sean Wu co-authored the November 2, 2015, Financial Times article, "China’s Draft Cyber Law Raises Concerns for Foreign Businesses." The piece provides an overview of key articles of the cyber law draft and how the new rules compare to US standards. "As China seeks to establish a rule-based structure for regulation of online activity, it is likely that there will be the need for further debate and advocacy," the authors conclude.
Cheng is a member of O’Melveny’s White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations Practice and resides in the Firm’s Los Angeles and Hong Kong offices. Guo is also a member of the Firm’s White Collar Defense group, as well as the International Disputes Practice. She resides in O’Melveny’s Beijing office along with Wu, who is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department.
