January 05, 2017

O'Melveny partner Eric Rothenberg and associate Remi Moncel authored the Daily Journal piece “We Will Always Have the Paris Agreement.” The article, published on January 5, 2017, details 10 vital things general counsel should know in order to comply with the Paris Agreement’s regulations to combat climate change.

“Companies face a shift in regulatory and financial environments, as well as an evolution of public attitudes and markets in response to climate change. As the ‘new normal’ sets in, companies resilient to these shifts and those that embrace this global transition stand to get ahead,” the authors conclude.

Rothenberg, who resides in O’Melveny’s New York office, leads the firm’s Environmental Practice and represents business and financial institutions in a broad range of adversarial matters, including superfund proceedings, toxic tort claims, and private cost recovery actions. Moncel, who is based in the firm’s San Francisco office, focuses his practice on corporate investigations, antitrust, international litigation, and energy and environmental matters.
