O’Melveny's Olson’s Return to Firm Receives Coverage from Multiple News Outlets

August 05, 2013

The return of partner Steven Olson to O’Melveny & Myers following a tour of government service received coverage from Law360, The Recorder, The Wall Street Journal, FCPA Report, The American Lawyer, and the Daily Journal.  As Law360 reported on August 2, 2013, Olson left O’Melveny in 2011 to serve as president and chief legal officer at Aletheia Research & Management Inc., but departed shortly thereafter to become a senior advisor to then-U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson.  As The Recorder noted on August 1, 2013, Olson was also enlisted to lead President Barack Obama’s SelectUSA initiative, designed to stimulate domestic job creation by promoting international business investment.  Regarding his decision to return to O’Melveny, Olson told Law360 “I trust my partners… I remained in close contact with them during my years in government, and the firm seemed like the right place to return to.”

Olson is a member of O’Melveny’s White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations Practice, and the Business Trial and Litigation Practice.  He resides in the Firm’s Los Angeles office.
