O’Melveny Shortlisted for Two Euromoney Women in Business Law Awards

April 23, 2012 O'Melveny & Myers LLP is shortlisted for two honors as part of Euromoney Legal Media Group's inaugural Americas Women in Business Law Awards, according to a March 21, 2012, announcement in International Financial Law Review (ILFR). O'Melveny is a finalist for "Best International Firm for Talent Management." In addition, the Firm's Women's Advisory Board is a finalist for "Best Gender Diversity Initiative by an International Firm."

Euromoney describes the Best Firm for Talent Management category as focused on firms' demonstrable commitment to the advancement of women through programs that focus on talent retention. O'Melveny's Momentum One, an industry-leading benefit that provides professional coaching to parents during their transition back to work, was recognized as a stand-out program.  The Best Gender Diversity Initiative category recognizes law firms that have been innovative in enabling personal and professional growth both inside and outside the organization, in promoting the development of current and future women leaders, and in supporting work/life balance, according to Euromoney. O'Melveny's Women's Advisory Board, formed in 2007 to act as internal consultants to the Chair on matters related to the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women lawyers at the Firm, was identified as a leading initiative among such efforts.

The awards ceremony will take place on May 24, 2012, in New York.
