O’Melveny Team Authors Article on UK Regulatory Reform

May 16, 2012

O’Melveny & Myers’ lawyers Riccardo Celli, Sophia Stephanou, and Killian Kehoe authored an article for the May 15, 2012, edition of Competition Law Insight about recent reforms in the United Kingdom that combined the UK’s two competition authorities, the Office of Fair Trading and Competition Commission. The merger and other reforms are meant to streamline existing antitrust regulatory rules. The article examines which of these reforms could affect international business, including a maintaining of the voluntary merger notification rules, increased merger fees, and a similar administrative antitrust enforcement system.
