O’Melveny has deployed a new hiring tool designed to diversify and strengthen the employee pool. The software, designed by pymetrics, constitutes a series of games that will conduct an unbiased assessment of a candidate’s emotional and cognitive traits.
Darin Snyder, O’Melveny’s diversity and inclusion partner, said the software will give the firm, “an extensive way to reach a broader audience.” The firm will continue to use traditional hiring tools as well, such as resumes and cover letters, and will treat the new software as a supplemental tool, Snyder said.
