O’Melveny’s Bush Quoted in Global Competition Review on Singapore’s Global Cartel Fine

June 11, 2014

O’Melveny & Myers partner Nate Bush was quoted in Global Competition Review’s May 28, 2014, article “CCS Fines First Global Cartel.” The article discusses the first decision in an international cartel investigation made by the Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS). Bush noted the importance of the ruling in establishing the CCS as a “potent and credible” competition enforcer. “Where previous enforcement actions have targeted local markets within Singapore, this decision confirms the willingness of the CCS to exercise its extraterritorial jurisdiction to address anti-competitive conduct beyond Singapore’s borders where appropriate,” he said.

Bush is a member of O’Melveny’s Antitrust and Competition Practice, and resides in the Firm’s Singapore office.
