The American Lawyer’s Spring Litigation Supplement featured several comments from O’Melveny & Myers Chair Bradley J. Butwin on the rise of litigation work among the nation’s top firms. "If I were going to build a firm today from scratch, I would want something like a 50-50 split between litigation and corporate," Butwin said in the article. The feature piece details how more firms are striving for that kind of balance as litigation is no longer seen as an impediment to profit growth. "As recently as five years ago, I used to hear senior partners at firms that had 70-75 percent corporate lawyers say that their business model was to get to 80 percent corporate," Butwin said in the article. "Now I think we're seeing law firm partners asking, 'How are we going to get to 50-50?"'
