O’Melveny’s Christofferson Appointed to Library Foundation Board Chairmanship

September 11, 2012

O’Melveny & Myers LLP partner Carla Christofferson's appointment as Board Chairman of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles was noted in the September 11, 2012, issue of the Los Angeles Library Fall Calendar newsletter.

Christofferson, who is managing partner of O'Melveny's Los Angeles office, has served on the Library Foundation Board since 2004, first as a member and later as co-chair. She has been recognized as one of the “100 Most Influential Lawyers in California” by the Daily Journal, and is a co-owner of the Los Angeles Sparks basketball team.

Christofferson notes in the article that books were very important to her as a child growing up in North Dakota. "I was on the receiving end of community services and I understand why it’s important to give back,” she said.

The Library Foundation of Los Angeles supports and enriches the capabilities, resources, and services of the Los Angeles Public Library through fundraising, advocacy, and innovative programs that benefit the community and promote greater awareness of the Library's valuable resources.
