O’Melveny’s Danielle Gray Co-Authors Forbes Article on Summer Jobs

June 04, 2015 O’Melveny partner Danielle Gray penned an article with Result for America’s Gene Sperling on the importance of summer jobs for America’s at-risk youth. The article, which was published June 3, 2015, on Forbes.com, said “there has been increased academic evidence that similar summer jobs ‘plus’ programs–efforts that combine summer employment opportunities, mentorship, and social skills-building programs–can have a significant impact on reducing crime, improving educational performance, and raising earnings and employment potential.” The article gives specific examples of programs in action around the country and advocates increasing these opportunities through partnerships between employers, non-profit organizations and local governments.

Gray is a litigation partner in O’Melveny’s New York and Washington, DC offices.
