O’Melveny’s Dellinger Discusses SCOTUS Decisions on Marriage Equality and Health Care in Slate Podcast

June 29, 2015 Following last week’s momentous Supreme Court decisions affecting marriage equality and health care, O’Melveny partner Walter Dellinger spoke to Slate about the history, key points, and implications of those decisions. In a discussion with Slate’s Dahlia Lithwick, Dellinger discusses the Court’s 5–4 decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, which ruled that same-sex marriage bans are unconstitutional, as well as its 6–3 decision in King v. Burwell, which upheld the Affordable Care Act’s healthcare subsidies.

A frequent Slate contributor, Dellinger is a professor of law at Duke University and served as head of the Office of Legal Counsel from 1993 to 1996.
