O’Melveny’s Global Antitrust and Competition Practice Ranked in Global Competition Review’s ‘GCR 100’

O’Melveny & Myers’ global Antitrust and Competition Practice is highly ranked in the 2012 edition of Global Competition Review’s “GCR 100.”  The GCR 100 is a guide to the world’s leading competition law and economics practices and ranks firms by geography.

O’Melveny is ranked in Brussels, California, New York, and Washington, DC. The publication recognized the addition of Marc Reysen in the Brussels office, as well as the Firm’s representation of Western Digital in its US$4.3 billion bid for Hitachi’s hard drive business, eBay’s US$2.4 billion acquisition of GSI Commerce, and Honeywell’s merger control filings. In California, the guide highlighted O’Melveny’s representation of RealPage in an antitrust lawsuit, Hynix Semiconductor in a number of investigations, and International Game Technology in a patent and antitrust dispute.

O’Melveny’s work in Washington, DC also was spotlighted by the GCR 100, which recognized the efforts of Richard Parker, who heads the antitrust practice, and his team in T-Mobile’s proposed acquisition by AT&T. The guide also noted the Firm’s work with Asiana Airlines and Samsung. In New York, O’Melveny’s litigation matters were deemed “impressive” and the publication noted that the Firm's clients include Capital One Financial, FedEx, and Aveta.
