March 01, 2013

O’Melveny & Myers LLP counsel Hugh Hilliard authored the March 1, 2013, Law360 article “A Few Thoughts on FERC’s Civil Penalty Calculations,” which takes a closer look at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) recently issued policy statements detailing the methodology it uses when calculating civil penalties for violations of FERC regulations. In the article, Hillard writes that "[w]hile the policy statements provide a good road map as to how to calculate the amount of potential liability, there are a few areas that may not be obvious and that can have a great impact on the results."

Hilliard is a member of O'Melveny's Project Development and Real Estate Practice and resides in the Firm's Washington, DC office.
