O’Melveny’s Jacob Co-Authors Article on Military Detention Policies for ABA Journal

October 01, 2012

O’Melveny & Myers LLP partner Greg Jacob co-authored the October 1, 2012, American Bar Association Journal article “Detention Policies: What Role for Judicial Review?” as part of the Journal’s “Patriots Debate” series. In the article, Jacobs examines the decisions regarding military detention policies handed down by the DC Circuit Court since the 2008 US Supreme Court ruling in Boumediene v. Bush. He discusses whether the court has struck the right balance in establishing parameters for judicial review of executive branch decisions regarding the detention of enemy combatants.

Jacob’s essay has been included in the book Patriots Debate: Contemporary Issues in National Security Law, published by the ABA Standing Committee on Law and National Security.

Jacob is a member of O'Melveny's Financial Services and Labor and Employment Practices and resides in the Firm's Washington, DC office.
