O’Melveny’s Kassinger Discusses Trade Barriers and Cyber-Hacking on CNBC’s The Call

June 06, 2013 On June 4, 2013, O’Melveny & Myers partner Theodore Kassinger was interviewed on CNBC’s "The Call" about the recent solar panel tariff conflict between the United States and the European Union. In the interview, Kassinger said that the solar controversy is “multifaceted,” and does not indicate a pattern of raising trade barriers. Kassinger also commented on the substantial security concerns created by cyber-hacking. “There’s not a bigger issue in the United States right now,” he said in the interview. He also expressed optimism that upcoming meetings between President Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping will lead to improved cybersecurity. Kassinger is a member of O’Melveny’s Integrated Legal Strategies Practice and resides in the Firm’s Washington, DC office.
