O’Melveny’s Kline Quoted in LA Business Journal on Firm’s Water Practice

August 30, 2015 O’Melveny & Myers partner Matthew Kline was quoted in the Los Angeles Business Journal article, “Practice Group’s Business Heats Up with Drought.”  The piece highlights O’Melveny’s recently formed Water Industry Practice, which helps business clients develop long-term strategies for water use, provides guidance for compliance with California’s water usage restrictions, and advises investors who are active in the water industry.

“The big focus these days is really on the water quantity issues instead of water quality issues,” Kline told the publication.  Regarding ways to smooth out “valleys and troughs” in water supply, Kline points to “conservation, restrictions on water usage, and just being more assertive and aggressive.”

Kline is a member of O’Melveny’s Business Trial and Litigation Practice and is head of the Water Industry Practice.  He resides in the Firm’s Century City office.
