O’Melveny’s Lash Comments on LA City Attorney Race

January 17, 2013 David Lash, O’Melveny & Myers LLP’s managing counsel of public interest and pro bono services, was quoted in the Jewish Journal’s January 16, 2013, article “Priorities, personalities shape city attorney race.” The article discusses the candidates in the current race for Los Angeles City Attorney, including former city councilman and California assemblyman Mike Feuer. Lash, who succeeded Feuer as executive director of Los Angeles-based Jewish nonprofit legal aid firm Bet Tzedek, told the publication that Feuer’s experience as a public-interest lawyer would make him a great city attorney. “Mike’s background brings a perspective that I don’t believe we’ve ever had in the city attorney’s office,” Lash said. “In the right hands, the city attorney can have a huge impact on the lives of the poor and the forgotten and the needy of this city.”
