O'Melveny's Lead Role in PineBridge Investments' US$400 Million Collateralized Loan Obligation Closing Noted by Bradenton HeraldAugust 25, 2011 The work of an O'Melveny team led by Investment Funds and Securitization partner Deborah Festa, with assistance from associates Don Melamed, Matthew Cohen, and Jeannette Mekdara, on the structuring and issuance of approximately US$400 million of notes in a collateralized loan obligation (CLO) transaction that closed on August 18, 2011, was noted in an August 24, 2011, article in the Bradenton Herald.
The article stated that the transaction is among the first to close in the recent resurgence of CLO market activity, and the fourteenth CLO that PineBridge has brought to market. "PineBridge manages a total of US$7.2 billion in leveraged finance as of June 30, 2011," the paper said. As deal counsel, O'Melveny was responsible for drafting all major transaction documents and investor disclosure, and for leading negotiations with rating agencies and various transaction parties.
