February 29, 2012 Amy J. Longo, cofounder and co-chair of O'Melveny & Myers' Electronic Discovery and Document Retention Practice, and partner Allen W. Burton co-authored a detailed analysis on electronic discovery practice regulations, along with Southern California Edison lawyer Allan D. Johnson. Electronic Discovery Practice Under the Federal Rules, 2011 Edition, covers recent significant changes affecting the preservation, costs, and potential sanctions of spoliation in regards to electronic discovery. The recently published edition, which is part of Bloomberg BNA's Electronic Discovery Portfolio Series, includes a breakdown of case law and legislation and examines the lack of a uniform national standard when it comes to electronic discovery preservation requirements. The authors discuss state legislation and state court rules that cover electronic discovery, as well as proposals for future regulations.
