O’Melveny’s New Litigation Software Profiled by Daily Journal

February 04, 2016

In the February 4, 2016, edition of the Daily Journal, O’Melveny’s internal litigation software known as OMMLit, was profiled as “an advanced system” designed to make the litigation process more efficient. The article said that “internal litigation software to this degree of sophistication is a relatively new phenomenon among law firms.” O’Melveny’s Mark Samuels and Jeff Rovner spoke with the publication about the platform, which launched in August 2015.

“We had thousands of searches in the first week alone,” Samuels said. “I was able to use OMMLit to search for motions … that had been submitted by other lawyers in this firm before a particular judge and was able to see what successful arguments were made in other cases.”

Samuels is O’Melveny’s vice chair and Rovner is the managing director of information.
