O’Melveny’s New York Scholarship Recipients Noted in Harlem World Magazine

June 11, 2015 O’Melveny & Myers’ New York scholarship program was featured in the May 29, 2015, edition of Harlem World Magazine.  The article highlights the three O’Melveny scholars selected this year from Harlem’s Thurgood Marshall Academy.  “These students that make our future strong from Harlem to Hollywood, they help us believe that the 21st century is in good hands,” the article said.  The publication also details the 13th Annual O’Melveny New York Scholarship ceremony, which was held on May 19, 2015.

O'Melveny's New York Scholarship Awards were established in 2003 to encourage high school juniors from the city who embody the values of uncompromising excellence, distinctive leadership, and a commitment to community service to continue to excel and gain admission to college.  Each year, a total of 15 eleventh-grade students from five public high schools representing each of the New York City boroughs are selected as O'Melveny Scholars after an application and interview process based on grade point average, attendance, enrollment in college preparatory classes, financial need, and community involvement.
