O’Melveny’s Olson Quoted in Securities Regulation Daily on Range of International Trade Issues

October 10, 2013 O’Melveny & Myers partner Steven Olson recently spoke with Securities Regulation Daily on a range of topics including SEC enforcement, the US Commerce Department, global investment, China, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and trade secret litigation.  Regarding the FCPA, Olson told the publication, “[i]f policies are too strict and unrealistic... they may not be followed on the ground and that could give prosecutors a road map to conduct an investigation.”  The article also summarizes Olson’s legal career, beginning as a federal prosecutor and most recently rejoining O’Melveny after two years of client and government service.

Olson is a member of O’Melveny’s White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations Practice and the Business Trial and Litigation Practice.  He resides in the Firm’s Los Angeles office.
