O'Melveny's O’Rourke to Chair 2012 Antitrust Litigation Forum

November 21, 2012

O’Melveny & Myers LLP Los Angeles partner Kenneth R. O’Rourke is Chair of the 2012 Antitrust Litigation Forum taking place this year in Napa Valley, CA on December 2-4, 2012. He will also be co-chairing a discussion session on antitrust trials and another on a “hot topic,” namely, antitrust issues arising from the recent phenomena of patent enforcement by patent aggregators and other non-practicing entities (NPEs).

The Antitrust Trials discussion will focus on themes that work well in price fixing cases, how to deal with guilty pleas, how best to use (or diffuse) problematic competitor communications, how best to present transactional pricing data, and current practices for the use of mock jury exercises and shadow juries.

Washington, DC partner Ian Simmons will also be participating in the Forum for the second consecutive year.

The Forum is an annual gathering of leading antitrust litigators from across the US. The purpose of the Forum is to facilitate an exchange of ideas and an in-depth dialogue among leading antitrust plaintiffs’ lawyers, defense counsel, and in house counsel on the litigation aspects of the practice. Participation is by invitation. O’Rourke is Chair of the Steering Committee.
