O’Melveny’s & Myers LLP’s participation in the pro bono California Assistance Program was noted in the October 10, 2012, National Law Journal article “Garage Inventors in California to Get Pro Bono Patent Boost From PTO.” The California Assistance Program was created to give pro bono patenting help to individuals and small businesses attempting to navigate a complicated patent system. The program stems from a mandate in the America Invents Act to establish regional pro bono centers for inventors and entrepreneurs.
