O'Melveny's Participation in "Team Prime Time" Pro Bono Education Project Mentioned in Daily Journal

December 29, 2011 In a Decmber 29, 2011 article about a voluntary effort by lawyers to introduce at-risk schoolkids to the positive aspects of law, the Daily Journal noted that the participants included O'Melveny lawyers.

The ten-year-old after-school program, Team Prime Time, is targeted at Los Angeles County middle school students from low-income families who are also at risk of dropping out and becoming involved in crime. It is headed by Peter Straus, a former physical education instructor, and retired Los Angeles County Superior Court judge Patricia Collins, and includes law studies among the mix of academics, athletics, leadership skills, and the arts.
