O'Melveny & Myers counsel Bimal Patel and associate Todd Arena co-authored the article, "Resolution Policy for Bank-Centric Firms: Where Are We and Where Are We Headed?" which appears in the January 2016 edition of Pratt's Journal of Bankruptcy Law. This article describes the current state of resolution policy focusing on bank-centric firms, identifying open questions that will affect the direction of policy, and includes analysis of both the Title I process under Section 165(d) of Dodd-Frank and the less-discussed Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation-covered insured depository institutions resolution requirements.

Patel is the Head of the Financial Advisory and Regulation Practice in O’Melveny’s Washington, DC, office and specializes in matters related to financial services, public policy, and political strategy. Arena is an associate in O’Melveny’s New York office and a member of the Project Development and Real Estate Practice.
