O'Melveny's Petrocelli Discusses Skilling Resentencing in Bloomberg Law Interview

July 23, 2013

Daniel Petrocelli, chair of O’Melveny & Myers’ Business Trial and Litigation practice, recently spoke with Bloomberg Law’s Spencer Mazyck about his representation of former Enron Corp. Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Skilling. As Bloomberg Law reports, in June US District Judge Sim Lake III approved the terms of a deal made between prosecutors and Skilling that reduced his prison term by ten years. In the interview, part of Bloomberg Law’s "Rainmakers" series, Petrocelli also explains why Skilling would not have faced civil or criminal proceedings if Enron's demise occurred during or after the 2008 credit crisis.
