In a September 13, 2011, article "Golden Globes Trial Delayed After Deal," about an off-screen fight over one of the film industry's biggest awards shows, the Daily Journal notes that O'Melveny & Myers' Business Trial & Litigation Practice partner Dan Petrocelli represents the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in the case. Petrocelli resides in the Century City office. A bench trial in the press association's lawsuit against show producer Dick Clark Productions was scheduled to begin last week in Los Angeles federal court, however, both parties received the news that US District Judge Valerie Baker Fairbank was no longer available to preside and that the trial would be delayed 30 days. The court reassigned the case to US District Judge A. Howard Matz, though it set no calendar dates.
