O’Melveny’s Petrocelli Profiled as a Law360 Trial Ace

September 28, 2015

O’Melveny & Myers partner Dan Petrocelli was selected for Law360’s inaugural Trial Aces contest, one of 50 top litigators to make the list.  The September 11, 2015, profile on Petrocelli details his career path from “working his way through law school at night” to becoming a “sought-after litigator” who has “served as first chair for about 27 trials, and nabbed verdicts as high as US$1 billion.”

The piece highlights some of Petrocelli’s most high-profile trial wins, including a US$33.5 million wrongful death decision against OJ Simpson and helping former Enron executive Jeff Skilling shave 10 years off of his 24-year prison sentence.  The article also quotes multiple clients and colleagues regarding their experiences with Petrocelli.  “What was amazing about [Dan] was the speed with which he learned about our business.  And the level of knowledge he had in a short time,” one client told the publication.

Petrocelli is chair of O’Melveny’s Trial Practice Committee and resides in the Firm’s Century City office.
