O'Melveny's Prugo, Pensabene Noted in Law360 for Novartis Patent Infringement WinJune 18, 2014
On June 18, 2014, O’Melveny & Myers partners Filko Prugo and Lisa Pensabene received coverage in Law360 for representing Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. in a patent infringement case. The article, titled “Judge Sides With Novartis In Dementia Patch Patent Row,” details the Delaware federal Judge’s finding that Watson Laboratories Inc. infringed on two of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp.’s patents for an Alzheimer’s disease treatment patch. The report quotes the July 18 decision: “Novartis proved that Watson's ANDA products infringe by a preponderance of the evidence, and Watson did not prove by clear and convincing evidence that the asserted claims were invalid as obvious.”
Prugo is a member of O’Melveny’s Life Sciences Litigation Practice and Intellectual Property and Technology Practice. Pensabene is head of the Life Sciences Litigation Practice and a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Practice. They reside in the Firm’s New York Office.
