O'Melveny's Putnam Quoted in Law360 Report on Developments in Michael Jackson Insurance Case

December 05, 2011 O'Melveny & Myers LLP Business Trial and Litigation Practice partner Marvin Putnam is quoted in Law360's December 2, 2011 report on developments in an ongoing insurance coverage dispute between AEG Live LLC and Lloyd’s of London. Lloyd’s filed suit against AEG and The Michael Jackson Co. LLC over a US$17.5 million policy covering the London concerts canceled following Jackson’s death. Putnam and associate Jessica Stebbins are representing AEG in the case.

Putnam told Law360 that the complex dispute involves multiple lawsuits in different courts. “It will be necessary for all parties to coordinate these various matters, and that’s precisely why we motion to stay on calendar in January,” he said.

The case is Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's of London subscribing to contingency nonappearance and cancellation policy No. B0638C091985 v. AEG Live LLC et al., case number BC462973, in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Los Angeles.

Putnam and Stebbins are based in O’Melveny’s Century City office.
