O’Melveny’s Representation of Korean Game Developer Mgame Corp. in Arbitration Noted by Courthouse News ServiceMarch 23, 2012
O’Melveny & Myers LLP's representation of Korean game development company Mgame Corp. was noted in the March 23, 2012, Courthouse News Service article “Dishonorable Conduct Alleged at ‘Knight Online’.” According to the article, Mgame claims K2 defaulted on royalty payments related to a license deal for the medieval-era role playing game “Knight Online,” and in return, the company terminated K2’s license in 2003 when the payments ceased. As a result, Mgame has initiated arbitration proceedings and will seek a court order to ban K2 from running the game.
Mgame is represented by Los Angeles partner Marc Feinstein and counsel Ivana Cingel, and San Francisco partner Steven Smith and associate Benjamin Jones.
