O’Melveny’s Shick Featured on PBI’s Pro Bono Happy Hour

O’Melveny pro bono counsel Jerri Shick was featured in the Pro Bono Institute’s podcast, “Pro Bono Happy Hour.” The weekly podcast features conversations about law firm pro bono news, infrastructure, and best practices with guests from Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge signatories, like O’Melveny.

In the February 16, 2017, episode, Shick discusses O’Melveny’s pro bono program and the vital role it plays in the firm’s culture. 

“You should always have a pro bono case on your docket. That’s how we roll here. That’s how you practice law,” she said. 

Shick also discusses her leadership of Bet Tzedek’s Holocaust Survivors’ Justice Network and her experience providing pro bono assistance to survivors of Haiti’s catastrophic earthquake. 

Shick manages O’Melveny’s national and international pro bono program. In this role, she maintains relationships with various public interest legal services organizations, assists attorneys in obtaining new pro bono matters, manages large-scale pro bono projects, and develops innovative pro bono skills training programs, among other responsibilities. She is based in the firm’s New York office.
