美迈斯合伙人司马瑞接受路透社采访谈及中国的跨境税务监管事务

一月 31, 2015 O’Melveny & Myers partner Larry Sussman was quoted in the January 31, 2015, Reuters article, “Firms Prepare for New Tax Rules As China Vows Crackdown.”  The article reports that the Chinese government's pledge to intensify tax scrutiny of foreign companies has prompted firms to enlist the advice of tax advisors ahead of the implementation of new rules designed to thwart cross-border tax avoidance.  Sussman told Reuters that the scope of this scrutiny could extend to private equity firms and M&A activity.  "Anything cross-border coming in and coming out, for that matter, which could implicate Chinese investors," he said.

Sussman is managing partner of O'Melveny's Beijing office and a member of the Firm's China, Tax, and Investment Funds Practices.
