September 18, 2017

O’Melveny partner Richard Parker was quoted in the September 18, 2017, issue of the Global Competition Review in an article about merger legislation recently introduced in the US Senate.

Parker told GCR that the legislation, which would require large companies to prove their deals are not anticompetitive, would be “harmful to balanced merger policies.”

Based in Washington, DC, Parker is one of the foremost antitrust lawyers in the US, frequently called on by companies to save the day at the 11th hour. As Chair of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice, he has achieved numerous victories for clients both before enforcement agencies and in the courts.
