O’Melveny’s Dellinger Featured in Coverage Anticipating Supreme Court Health Care DecisionJune 25, 2012
The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) Blog’s June 25, 2012, “Monday round-up” post references a piece O’Melveny & Myers LLP partner Walter Delllinger penned for Slate offering predictions about the Court’s ruling in the health care case. The Court is expected to announce its decision sometime this week, according to SCOTUS Blog. Dellinger’s June 22 Slate post is part of the online magazine’s Supreme Court Year in Review series.
Dellinger also spoke to The Washington Post for the June 25 article, “For Verrilli and other Supreme Court advocates, waiting may be the hardest part.” A former acting Solicitor General, he shared his personal recollections of what it was like to await the Court’s decision and hear it read it front of the nation. Dellinger also noted that Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr. seemed relaxed in recent conversation the two shared at the North Carolina Bar Association’s annual conference.
Dellinger served as Assistant Attorney General and head of the Office of Legal Counsel from 1993 to 1996, and was acting Solicitor General for the 1996-97 Term of the US Supreme Court. He is a member of O’Melveny’s Appellate Practice and resides in the Firm’s Washington, DC office.
