O’Melveny’s Managing Counsel for Pro Bono and Public Interest Services David Lash was quoted in this Daily Journal article on how the legal field is providing clients pro bono counsel during the coronavirus pandemic. With law firms running at a reduced capacity, a spreadsheet of remote pro bono opportunities was compiled by the Disaster Legal Assistance Collaborative and Association of Pro Bono Counsel for its members, the Daily Journal noted. “As the courts reopen, as the [eviction] stays are lifted, as more people lose their jobs or their healthcare, these things are going to exacerbate over the coming weeks,” said Lash. “That’s when the legal community will be out in full force.”
