A team of O’Melveny lawyers is defending Travis Scott after a deadly stampede at his Astrowrold Festival left 10 dead and hundreds injured. The rapper faces hundreds of lawsuits that claim negligence and failure to provide proper medical attention to concert attendees. Scott’s legal team is led by O’Melveny Vice Chair and Trial Practice Chair Daniel Petrocelli along with product liability and mass torts practice leaders Steve Brody and Sabrina Strong. Petrocelli has reached out to the victim's lawyers on Scott’s behalf offering to pay for the funeral costs for a 9-year-old boy who died from injuries sustained at the concert. Petrocelli has represented many high-profile clients throughout his career, including Ron Goldman’s family in a civil wrongful death lawsuit against O.J. Simpson and Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling in his insider trading and criminal fraud trial.
